Group News
- The Education Working Group has come a long way since its creation
in the fall of 2001. The following documents mark our progress.
- There were two Education Workshops planned by the Working Group in
2003. The first was in Florence, Italy in the spring of 2003. The second
was in Boston, MA in July, 2003. These two workshops followed in the
footsteps of our first workshop in August, 2002 in San Diego, CA. You
can learn more about these here.
- Steering Committee Members Leigh Plesniak and Ellis Bell have written
a paper for BAMBED (here)
entitled "Teaching Genomics."
- The membership of the working group has reached over fifty members
as of 2/15/2003. Interested parties are encouraged to
contact
a member of the steering committee if they wish to join.
- The working group is busily working on compiling the Lab Experiments
& Course Guides, Opportunities, and Interesting Links sections.
If you have relevant documents/links for these sections, please use
the submission forms in each of these sections. Together we can make
this website a valuable resource for graduate/undergraduate students
and professors.
