All scientific sessions, exhibits and special events will take place at the Boston Marriott Copley Place, Boston, MA 02116. Registration is required to attend these events.

Payment of Fees
You can register with Visa, MasterCard or American Express and by check (mail only). Checks must be in U.S. funds. We do not accept cash. NOTE: Checks will not be accepted after the early deadline of April 27, 2009.

Confirmation/Badge Information/Publications
All registrants will receive a confirmation/receipt for registration by email.

U.S. Registrants
U.S. registrants that register prior to June 22, 2009 will receive their badge in the mail prior to the meeting. After June 22, 2009 badges are to be picked-up on-site in the registration area. All U.S. registrants are to pick-up a Program and tote bag in the registration area beginning Saturday, July 25.

International Registrants
International registrants will not receive any materials in advance. International registrants are to pick-up their badge, program and tote bag in the registration area beginning Saturday, July 25.

Student & Postdoctoral Registration
Any student member of The Protein Society or regularly matriculated student working toward a degree in one of the biomedical sciences is eligible for a reduced registration fee. Hospital residents and interns, and laboratory technicians do not qualify as students. Postdoctoral fellows may also register at a discounted rate. For students and postdoctoral fellows, the advisor's name and telephone number must be completed on the Registration Form. A certificate of eligibility, a letter signed by the department head on official stationery, or a student ID card, must be presented by a nonmember student or postdoctoral fellow who registers on-site at the Symposium. Complete the registration form and if you plan on becoming a member of the Society, complete the membership portion. All nonmember postdocs and students automatically become members of the Society when registering.

One Day Graduate Student Registration
Graduate students have the opportunity to register by day. Proper identification must be verified in order to register at this special rate. The day selected will be printed on the badge.

One Day Undergraduate Student Registration
Undergraduate students attending the meeting for one day only, can receive complimentary registration on-site. To receive complimentary registration, bring your student ID card or a letter signed by your department head, research advisor or professor. If you are an undergraduate student attending the full conference, you must register at the full undergraduate registration fee.

On-Site Registration
On-site registration and badge/publication pick-up will be available beginning on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 7:30 AM in the registration area of the Boston Marriott Copley Place.

Press Registration
Complimentary Press badges will be issued on-site to members of the working press and freelance writers. Press credentials or an official letter from an editor bearing a letter of assignment must be provided to register as press. If you prefer to register in advance of the meeting, please mail your request with appropriate credentials to The Protein Society Symposium Management Office, 9650 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20814. Representatives of allied fields (public relations, public information, public affairs) are not qualified for press registration and must register on-site as non-members. Refunds/Cancellation Fee
Refunds for registration must be made in writing and postmarked by June 29, 2009. Badge and receipt must accompany the request (except for non-US registrants). Refunds cannot be made if badges are not received by the Society Office, or if postmarked after this date. A $40 cancellation fee will be deducted from all registration payment refunds. Attendees that cancel AFTER June 29 will not receive a refund.

Mailing of Materials
U.S. Registrants who register prior to April 27, 2009 will receive your badge, program/abstract volume pick up card, briefcase pick up card and banquet exchange coupon or purchased banquet ticket(s) prior to the Symposium. Be sure to bring your badge and pick-up cards with you to the meeting. You may begin picking up your meeting materials on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 7:30 AM in the registration area of the Boston Marriott Copley Place.

International Registrants will NOT receive your badge or pick-up cards in advance. International registrants may pick up your badge, program/abstract volume pick-up card, briefcase pick up card and banquet exchange coupon or purchased banquet ticket(s) on Saturday, July 25, 2009 at 7:30 AM in the registration area of the Boston Marriott Copley Place.
