Awards/Travel Funding >> Overview The Protein Society is pleased to offer the Protein Science Young Investigator Travel Grants and the Finn Wold Travel Awards to eligible applicants. The deadline for submitting an application for the 2010 Travel Award Program closed on Wednesday, April 14, 2010. Applicants will be informed of decisions by Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Protein Science Young Investigator Travel Grants Since January 2009, The Protein Society has partnered with Wiley-Blackwell to publish the Society’s monthly flagship journal, Protein Science. In support of The Protein Society’s efforts to facilitate the participation of young scientists at its symposia, Wiley-Blackwell will generously sponsor the Protein Science Young Investigator Travel Grant Program. Finn Wold Travel Awards Finn Wold was one of the founders and an early President of The Protein Society. In 1997, The Protein Society named the student travel awards in his honor. The Society has granted the awards to students for travel to U.S. symposia since 1997. These awards are supported by generous contributors to the Finn Wold Travel Award Fund. FASEB/MARC Minority Student Travel Awards | FASEB/MARC Scholarships provide the opportunity for minority faculty members and students from institutions to attend national meetings of FASEB member societies.
