2018 Elections Open

The 2018 elections for the governing body of the Society are now open!

Thank you for taking the time to cast your votes for the future leaders of The Protein Society. This year, there is one open seat for President-Elect of The Protein Society, four additional open seats on the Executive Council and two seats open on the Nominating Committee. Voting concludes on July 12 at Noon EST.

Executive Council Officers, President-Elect of The Protein Society

The Executive Council is the governing body for the Society, and is comprised of up to 15 voting members. 
The officers of the Society shall consist of a President, President-Elect or Past-President, Secretary and Chief Financial Officer. The President-elect shall be elected one year prior to taking office and shall automatically become President after one year.

There is one open seat for the position of President.

Executive Council Members

The Executive Council is the governing body for the Society, and is comprised of up to 15 voting members. The Executive Council includes the President, Secretary/Treasurer, and the Past-President or President-Elect, as applicable, of the Society. The remaining seats on the Executive Council shall be held by persons elected or appointed in accordance with the bylaws.

Nominating Committee Members

The Nominating Committee performs the critical function of recommending candidates for Society leadership positions, the Nominating Committee, and the Executive Council. There are 6 members, who serve staggered, 3-year terms.

There are two open seats to be filled on the Nominating Committee.
