Under the strong belief that attendance at our Symposia presents an invaluable opportunity for future protein scientists, TPS is committed to making it possible for young scientists to participate and benefit from our Annual Meeting. With generous support from partners and individuals, The Protein Society awards three types of travel grants every year: Hans Neurath Outstanding Promise Travel Awards, Finn Wold Travel Awards, and Protein Science Travel Awards. The submissions deadline via our abstract submissions page is March 8, 2019. Applicants must submit an abstract, be accepted, and present their posters at the 2019 Annual Symposium. Hans Neurath Oustanding Promise Travel Awards Sponsored by the Hans Neurath Foundation, with the winner selected by the leadership of The Protein Society, this award recognizes outstanding achievements in Dr. Hans Neurath's honor. Awards include:
Eligibility Post-doctorate students, and very early-career scientists within 2years of an independent research position, excluding assistant professors at U.S. academic institutions and other positions with start-up funds. Applicant or reference of applicant must be a member. Submission Finn Wold and Protein Science Travel Awards These awards are sponsored by The Protein Society and Wiley-Blackwell respectively. The Education Committee selects award winners, who receive up to $800 in reimbursed travel costs for international attendees (outside of Canada and USA) and up to $400 in reimbursed travel costs for domestic (Canada and USA) attendees. Eligibility Students or early-career scientists up to first 2 years of an independent position excluding assistant professors. |
