Design and Chair Your Own Session at the 2019 Protein Society Symposium

The Protein Society invites proposals from Protein Society members to develop and chair a session at the 33rd Annual Symposium in Seattle, WA on June 30 - July 3, 2019.

These "contributed sessions" will consist of four invited speakers. The contributing member will chair the session and may be a speaker. The selected chair will also be involved in the selection of two additional short talks from the abstracts submitted to the Symposium in general. Selected chairs will have a budget to distribute to the four invited speakers for travel reimbursements.

Although outstanding science will be the primary criterion, the committee also looks for diversity in gender, geography, and ethnicity. You must be a Protein Society member to apply. Click here to become a member now!

To have your contributed session considered by the Program Committee, please submit your proposal by October 31, 2017. The Committee requests the following information:
  • Proposed title of the session
  • Why is this session important, timely, and of interest to the Protein Society members?
  • List four proposed speakers (include yourself if you wish) and two alternate speakers. Include speaker affiliations, possible talk titles, and brief descriptions of work to be presented
