The Protein Society Announces New Diversity Awards

The Protein Society is committed to taking concrete actions to end racism in science by outlining a plan of action that includes investments in outreach, mentoring, and inclusion initiatives that can help address inequities and contribute to meaningful and sustained change.
“We want to welcome all and make a space for full participation in our society that reflects the broader society. At TPS, we want everyone to bring their whole selves to pursuing the science we all love.” -Bil Clemons, Caltech, Chair of the TPS DEI Committee
Our newly introduced 2021 Diversity Awards for the 35th Anniversary Symposium are part of the Protein Society's commitment to making a direct impact towards improving diversity, equity, and inclusion in the field of protein science.
The Society strongly encourages applications from undergraduate students, graduate students, and postdocs. Junior faculty from minority-serving institutions are also eligible. The award includes 2 years of society membership, a 2021 symposium registration waiver, and abstract submission fee reimbursement. Awardees will also be invited to a special virtual event at the 35th Anniversary Symposium.
The submission deadline is May 15, 2021.
Membership is not required for submission.
