The Protein Society's 40th Anniversary Symposium welcomes submission of abstracts for original contribution to the field of protein science. Abstracts can be submitted for poster presentations, speaking opportunities, travel grants and the poster competition. Poster SessionsThree poster sessions held in the afternoon on July 19, 20 & 21, as poster and exhibitor networking receptions. Posters are presented one day only. Abstract presentations who elect to participate in the graduate and undergraduate poster competition will be scheduled on July 19 and 20th. View schedule at a glance (subject to change). Speaking Opportunities and Travel Awards(March 17 abstract submission deadline) Under the strong belief that attendance at our Symposia presents an invaluable opportunity for future protein scientists, TPS is committed to making it possible for young scientists to participate and benefit from our Annual Meeting. Finn Wold and Protein Science Young Investigator Awards The award includes up to $1,100 in reimbursed travel costs for international attendees (outside of Canada, Mexico, and USA) and up to $650 in reimbursed travel costs for Canada, Mexico, and USA attendees. Protein Science awards are sponsored by Wiley. Finn Wold travel awards are sponsored by The Protein Society and generous donations from our members. Make a donation today. Required: Please submit a statement that describes your involvement in initiatives that build community and opportunity in science and/or your personal experience in navigating impediments in science. Particular attention will be given to applicants who have helped create opportunities related to scientific research and/or have participated in activities that democratize the field of protein science. COA awards are sponsored by the Hans Neurath Foundation. The Protein Society is committed to offering open talk opportunities in every session. Young Investigator Talks (14 minutes, including Q&A) (scientific sessions) Contributed Talks (28 minutes, including Q&A) (scientific sessions) Flash Talks (2-3 minutes, no Q&A) (scientific sessions) Undergraduate Research Session (lunch session) (10 minutes, including Q&A) The competition will recognize the top undergraduate and graduate student abstract presenters. Throughout the meeting, judges comprised of faculty, research scientists, and industry representatives will evaluate the posters. Up to thirty winners will be announced on July 21 during the plenary session. Each winner will receive a check in the amount of $250 and a small gift from TPS.
